Mater in MemoriamMater in Memoriam: For Irene was written for chamber ensemble. Recently, we have made two other versions available: (2) for smaller chamber ensemble and a ((3) version with SSAA +piano only (3). Movement 5 is a dance piece, which can be choreographed, optionally. I much prefer the richer atmospheric sound of the eight-part ensemble, but want the piece to have as broad an appeal as possible. If finances are a factor, then the piano version or the smaller ensemble version might be the one for you. (The Solo opening Lament for Flute or Oboe could be added.)
